1. LAVENDER

Simply mix few drops (5 to 6 drops) of this oil in your bath to relax your body and mind, or combine few drops in your carrier oil for a relaxing massage, or add few drops on your pillow for a good night sleep.

2. ROSEMARY

Rosemary essential oil is mind stimulating with anti-depressant properties. It’s a mood lifter for those days when you feel gloomy. Its essence is known to enhance memory and improves concentration.

Mixing this essential oil in massage oils or creams treats muscle pain and headache. Rosemary oil is popularly added in shampoos because it increases hair growth.

Simply mix few drops in humidifier or diffuser to relieve chest congestion, or mix it in your cream or massage oil for a relaxing massage.

3. PEPPERMINT

Just add a few drops of this oil to Vaseline and apply it on your temples for headaches and migraine. Or mix it with a carrier oil and use on the skin to relieve muscle soreness or pain.

The lemon essential oil is fresh and has a mood uplifting scent. It has usage in many products ranging from detergents, cleaners, soap, bath lotions, creams, flavoured drinks and many more. It is known worldwide for its fresh and clean scent.

Lemon oil has therapeutic properties with increasing focus and mental awareness. It has antifungal, antibacterial and antiseptic properties which treat scars and cuts. It is a natural immunity booster, aids digestion, great for skin and treats headache.

Add a few drops to diffuser or vaporizer for quick mood & energy enhancer, or add it to bath or creams to treat circulation problems.

5. EUCALYPTUS

Eucalyptus essential oil has a strong and clean aroma which will clear and open your airways quick. It is the reason extensively used on vicks vapour rub and balms. It also works as a pesticide and bug repellent.
Eucalyptus oil is decongestant which works against respiratory disease, antiseptic, helps with headaches, migraines and improves concentration.

Tea tree essential oil is widely popular for aromatherapy use. Tea tree essential oil is taking the beauty world by storm. It is used extensively in many creams, lotions, and shampoos.

Tea tree oil is a natural immunity booster. It has antibacterial properties which fight against infections, treats acne, dandruff and muscle pain.

Simply mix few drops of tea tree oil in your shampoo to treat dandruff, or to face wash to treat acne and oily skin problems.

7. CLARY SAGE

Clary sage essential oil has a scent which calms minds and has anti-anxiety properties. Inhaling this oil affects the part of your brain which regulates emotion.

Clary sage oil has antibacterial properties, a natural antidepressant, reduces menstrual pain, lower blood pressure, fights insomnia, and makes skin radiant and youthful.

Just add few drops to the diffuser to kill germs in the air, or bath water to improve mood and sore muscles, or mix with a carrier oil and apply to the wounded area.

CAUTION WHILE USING ESSENTIAL OILS

Although essential oils are safe to use, however, it can’t be a total replacement especially if you are under any prescribed medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers should use essential oils strictly under medical supervision.

These essential oils can’t be directly applied to your skin as they are highly concentrated. Essential oils should be diluted. There are 4 ways in which you should be using these oils:

a. In the form of massage by mixing a few drops to a carrier oil like olive oil or coconut oil.
b. While bathing, mix a few drops in water.
c. It can be used in humidifiers, vaporizers, or diffusers.
d. In the form of topical application, mix a few drops in creams, lotions, shampoo, etc.
