Stomach Disorders – How to get rid of stomach problems

The stomach is an internal organ in the human body. It is located between the esophagus and the small intestine. The main function of it is to digest the foods that we eat. The stomach has three tasks. It stores swallowed food, mixes the food with stomach acids and sends the mixture to the small intestine. When our stomach functions abnormally, it is called a stomach disorder or digestive disorder (causes of stomach disorders). Stomach disorders include the followings:
        Heartburn
        Nausea and vomiting
        Constipation
        Diarrhea
Diagnosis and tests are required to get proper treatment and to get relieved from this annoying problem. You should consult a doctor when you have severe abdominal pain, bloody stools, frequent vomiting or diarrhea and sudden loss of your body weight.

Best ways to get rid of stomach disorders
Here are some good ways to solve your stomach or digestive problems. These will be applicable only when you know the signs all too well. You should remember that the following medications are only for occasional and short-term use. If your problems remain the same or get worse, please consult your doctor. Below are the steps for you to solve stomach problems yourself.
To treat vomiting: Vomiting can occur when your stomach functions abnormally, being affected by food poisoning or unhygienic foods. This situation creates discomfort in your stomach. Nausea and vomiting are the natural processes inside your body to bring out the harmful things out of your stomach. But when it happens frequently, it can cause death. To treat vomiting, doctors mainly suggest two types of medications.
•    Bismuth subsalicylate, which is the ingredient in OTC medications similar to Kaopectate and Pepto-Bismol, which protects from the stomach lining.
•    The other medications include cyclizine, diphenhydramine, and meclizine.
The side effect of bismuth should not be a concern to your health because they are minor. When you have a dark tongue or dark stools, you should not worry about it because it is the most common side effect.

To treat constipation: When you are a regular patient of constipation (yoga for constipation), you are also a victim of stomach disorder. There are several causes for constipation. Your constipation may occur if have the foods which is rich in fat but low in fiber and water. You can realize the extremity of constipation at the time of passing stools which contributes to causing diseases in the anal area. There are some types of laxatives but you should consult your doctor to decide which one is applicable to you.
•    Osmotic laxatives are very helpful to pass stools easily because they contain magnesium or polyethylene glycol.
•    You should have limited use of stimulant laxatives because long-term use may have negative effects on your body.
•    Bulk-forming laxatives which often contain ingredients like psyllium and polycarbophil. You need to drink plenty of water while taking it.
Note: Normally, the side effect of laxatives cannot be seen like gas, bloating, etc. Do not use it more than a week without your doctor's permission.

To treat diarrhea: Diarrhea is a common problem for all of us. It occurs mainly when the stomach cannot digest the food or absorb the water you drink. This thing can cause pain in your stomach. This is another stomach disorder. Treatment for diarrhea is not necessary at the primary stage because it solves itself. There are several reasons behind occurring diarrhea. We can manage it ourselves. Additionally, antidiarrheal medication can help you to get rid of it when you suffer from stomach pain. Below are the common types of medications:

•    Loperamide makes the movement of fluid slower through the bowels.
•    Bismuth subsalicylate can decrease the speed of fluids inside your bowel and reduce inflammation and helps to kill the bacteria that cause acute diarrhea.


Natural remedies for stomach disorders

If you want to solve your digestive disorder by natural remedies, here are the best options for you:

Natural fiber: When you eat only delicious foods containing high fat or dairy products, your stomach cannot digest them properly. But if you inject a proper amount of natural fiber, it makes your digestion stronger (best food for stomach ache). Fiber also reduces the risk of stomach cancer.

Water: Human body requires water to digest and absorb the nutrients efficiently from foods and beverage we take. Lack of drinking sufficient water can cause digestive problems which increase the chance of having an upset stomach. An adult male should drink 2.5-3.7 liters of water a day. An adult female should drink 2-3 liters of water a day. Drinking plenty of water keeps our organs fit. Thus you can get rid of stomach problems.

Ginger: Ginger works effectively while you are suffering from stomach disease. Ginger and shogaols that can help speed up stomach contractions. Eating ginger helps to reduce nausea, vomiting and other stomach related problems.  Ginger can be eaten with tea or mixed with honey and food.

Green Tea: Green tea is known for its action against cancer. Green tea is very effective in preventing stomach cancer or IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). It is one of the best remedies for the treatment to fix stomach problems.
Figs: Figs contains substances that can act as laxatives to ease constipation. Figs have compounds that may help to ease indigestion (foods for indigestion). If you have stomach difficulty, eat whole fig fruit a few times a day until the symptoms improve.

Eating soft food: Some foods are harder to digest which increase the risk of an upset stomach. Anyone with an upset stomach must avoid foods that are really tough to digest. The affected person should avoid fried or fatty foods which are rich in cream. They should try foods that are digestible and good for the stomach.

In light of the above discussion, it is clear that you should not be worried when you have stomach disorders or an upset stomach. It resolves itself if you follow some of the steps mentioned above. It is recommended that when your problems are too serious, consult a specialized doctor immediately.
