Breathing problem means the shortness of breath or dyspnea. Shortness of breath is an unexpected condition for any one of us. It is a condition that indicates the difficulty of your lung. When your lung is unable to function normally, it is called shortness of breath or breathing problem. If your breathing problem is not too serious, you can try some self-home treatment. Below are discussed the best therapy or exercises and some natural remedies for breathing problem. You can follow them.

The best therapies and exercises for breathing problem

Deep breathing

When you take a breath deeply, it creates the momentum for perfect breathing. This also helps to fix your breath shortness. Put your hand on your breast, breathe deeply through your nose, expanding your abdomen and let the lung fill with fresh air. Next, hold your breath for 20-30 second (do not force to hold your breath) and breathe out through the mouth, making the lung empty. You can continue this process for 4-8 minutes. Then, repeat it as soon as possible. Remember that do not do this if you are unable to perform it.

Sleeping position

Your sleeping position should be proper and balanced. People could experience breathing problem during sleep( pranayama breathing for sleep). So, it is very important to keep yourself in the proper position when you go to your bed. Please lay on your side with a pillow between your legs and your head elevated by pillows and keep the back straight. Or you can lay on the back with the head elevated and the knees bent with a pillow between your knees. Both the positions will make your body relaxed and your breathing easy or comfortable.

Pursed-lip breathing

This is an excellent way to solve your breathing problem. It works quickly on your lung that makes breathing from an abnormal state to a normal position. This therapy helps to breathe deeper and to be more comfortable.  It helps breathe out air that trapped in the lungs. You can perform it anytime and anywhere. To perform it, relax the neck and your shoulder muscles. Then, inhale slowly, your mouth needs to be closed. Next, crinkle the lips, then try to leave the air slowly through your lips. Perform everything carefully.

Inhaling steam

This is a very easy method which is scientifically proved to solve your breathing shortness problems. This helps your nose to be clean and clear throughout the whole day and night. To perform this, fill a bowl with hot water, add a few drops of peppermint, keep your face just over the bowl and use a towel over the head. Then, breathe deeply, inhaling the steam. Thus, it will be very effective for you.

Easy Pose

Seat on a plain floor and cross your legs, keep your feet which will be under your knees. Your hands should be on knees. Then your heap bone should be down and press them into the floor and try to reach the top of your head. Now your shoulder remains down, then press the chest forward. Inhale and exhale slowly and let the tongue to be in a comfortable position on the upper side of your mouth, just behind your teeth. Now inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Cat Pose

Through this excellent exercise, you will be able to solve your breath shortness problem. You need to do the yoga pose properly to get its full benefit. Inhale, begin on your hands and knees with knees under the hips and wrists under your shoulders. Then, extend the fingers and press through the base and fingertips. After that, exhale and pull your belly in, lift the side waists, round the spine and release your head towards the floor. Now press the floor away and feel the stretch in the back body. Now you can inhale and come to normal position.

Bridge Pose

This is a popular yoga pose which can a very helpful and effective therapy for the breathing problem. By doing the segment of the pose, your lung’s muscle gets exercised. This strengthens the performance of your lung, improving its blood circulation. First, lay on your back, put your feet on the floor, keep an easy distance away from the hips. After that, place the arms next to the ribcage. Try to bend the elbows 90 degrees so that your fingers are pointing to the ceiling. Inhale, press the back of your shoulders and your feet into the floor and keep your hips up. Keep inner feet down and at the same time keep your knees from spreading out wide, engaging your thighs. Extend your tailbone and slide your shoulder blades down your back and keep your neck in the center. Try to continue this segment for 30-40 seconds.

Natural remedies for breathing problem 

Honey

Honey is used as a natural medicine for the patient of asthma or for the people who have a breathing problem. Mix 1tsp. of honey with a cup of warm water and drink it two times or three times a day. Honey contains natural ingredients which improve the function of your lung. So, honey can play a vital role in your breathing problems.

Ginger

Ginger boosts your immune system and fights against cancer. Ginger is used for treating asthma– it keeps respiratory tracts in check. Its powerful ingredients keep your lungs away from any diseases. To get the best result, eat ginger mixing with honey and warm water.

Warm water

If you do not drink sufficient water, it can cause constrict in the lung. This causes mucus, which results in mucus in the lung that leads to asthma attacks and other diseases. Drinking warm water reduces the chances of lung diseases.

Green tea

Green tea is known for its natural ingredients which fight against cancer and all kinds of diseases in the human body. Hot green tea can contribute to diminishing your breathing problem as well as keeping your organs fit.
