An extraordinary experience with elephants in Thailand, a week-long yoga retreat in their presence.

Enhance your connection to your inner being self thanks to their deep wisdom with the aid of their wisdom. During this week, you will experience this inner journey with several yoga practices, classical Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, Restorative yoga and yoga Nidra as well as meditations, and dances. Let your heart speak up.

Petra and Annie will accompany you on this journey with yoga practices, meditations, breathing and times for a community and exchange. If all this resonates with your heart, go for it and join us!

This deep and meaningful experience will be very special given the proximity with the elephants, these wise souls that live there, in a respectful environment, close to their natural habitat.

It is in this environment where elephants are treated respectfully that yoga is practiced, according to their rhythm.

At GaneshaPark the main languages are French, English and Thai. Classes are guided by American teacher and all organization is well adapted to English language speakers.

Contemplate the life of elephants and discover their daily lives in an area run by a French family settled in Thailand for more than twelve years. The herd of elephants is happy and well cared for. An ideal place for a community to learn with animals how to help with joy, strength, and wisdom.

Daily practice of different forms of yoga, punctuated by meditations and circles of thoughts will help you to recharge.

The highlight if this retreat is five full days of guided interactions with the elephants.

Your yoga days will be adapted to the rhythm of the elephant heard.

Yoga class is held twice in a yoga room and is both in English and French adapted to the language of participants. The languages spoken in the elephant sanctuary are English, French and Thai.


DAY of arrival (April 7)

  • Arrival in Bangkok in the morning and transfer from the airport or arrival directly at the site around 17h
  • 17:00 Installation in the rooms. Introductory circle
  • 19:00 Dinner


  • 08:00 Breakfast
  • 09:00 Presentation of the functioning of the site
  • Meeting with elephants
  • 12:00 Lunch followed by a rest period (nap)
  • 15:00 Walk in the afternoon to discover the surroundings
  • 18:00 Evening circle
  • 19:30 Dinner

DAYS 2 to 6

  • Yoga practice at 7 am
  • Breakfast
  • Yoga program or walk with the elephants
  • Lunch
  • Swimming with the elephants in the afternoon or yoga-related activity

  • Departure to Bangkok

Your departure flight can be booked on the same day closer to midnight (according to your choice of flights). You can stay in Thailand and enjoy Bangkok and other places.

You can also remain in the region of the park and Kanchanaburi for a visit of Erawan waterfalls, river Kwai bridge or Kanchanaburi market.

The sanctuary can be called "a family home" for elephants.

The guardian of the place, Kenji, received "the call" from his father to continue and build a "Safe place for elephants".

The adventure has started more than twenty years ago, and the family has worked restlessly since.

A place of healing, a sanctuary where elephants can live at their own pace. Most of them are at a retirement age and rescued from a tourist camp where they knew the hardship that scarved their skin.

Their body and soul are being in a healing process since.


 Retreat location

Thailand, province of Kanchanaburi, by the river Kwai, about 170 km Nord West from Bangkok.


Simple, healthy and regular meals. The cuisine at the camp is exclusively vegetarian and offers vegan choices.

You will get daily breakfast at 8 am followed by two exquisite vegetarian meals in Thai style at noon, and at 7 pm.

Petra Diane

Yoga teacher with 800 hours in YTT, trained in classical Hatha Yoga, Yoga therapeutics specified on the spinal and hormonal issues. Graduate in Women yoga, yoga for children and passionated Yoga Nidra facilitator, Petra will take you through a gentle yoga practice to a better understanding of your body and resourcing in anchoring. Czech, Petra worked for a long time as a couture model in Paris then as PR and media manager in the jewelry industry between France and Switzerland, where she lives now. She will accompany you in this unparalleled journey, together with the GaneshaPark family.
