As part of your path to becoming a yoga teacher, you are invited to explore the beauty and magic of Bali, a yogic paradise in Canggu, a laid-back, serene yet vibrant, and trendy beach town perched on the southwest coast of Bali. Nestled in between beautiful green terraced rice paddies and black sand beaches, Canggu is the bohemian home away from home for yogis, surfers, spiritual seekers, conscious hipsters and healthy foodies.

Example of daily schedule

Once or twice a week, you can also enjoy a scheduled evening program. The evening activities consist of philosophy lectures, Kirtan, movie night, or meditation

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.

During this training, you will be accommodated at Cosmos Oasis 2, in Canggu, Bali. Cosmos Oasis 2 is a western inspired yoga ashram where cool, contemporary design meets functional simplicity and comfort. A beautiful, spacious yoga shala overlooking the rice-fields, a shared kitchen area, and open lounging areas where you can hang out, study and socialize.

The rooms are all in true western inspired ashram style, small, simple, clean, and comfortable. Everything you need for when you are not busy with the training or out and about exploring Canggu and Bali.

Ashrams usually represent a return to a simpler way of living, which is very different to a hotel. Generally there is a more communal atmosphere and often an expectation that guests will pitch in with whatever needs doing.

One weekly breakfast every Monday and final group graduation dinner are included in the price. Lunch and dinner meals can be enjoyed as you desire! Bali is like a yogic food heaven, spoiled with options when it comes to affordable, healthy, delicious vegetarian/vegan/raw foods.

Plenty cafes around offering both local and western options such as fresh salads, acai bowls as well as more traditional Balinese cuisine and western favorites. Local coffee, smoothies, and fresh juices are abundant in this little surfer town. The Peaceful Warriors caters for both vegetarian, vegan and other allergies or intolerance.

Meet The Instructors

Sean, Maria, Bente, & 7 Other

Sean Goldberg

Sean is a registered physiotherapist in Australia. His teaching style is based on a deep understanding of yoga anatomy, yoga physiology, and traditional Hatha Yoga. Sean has taught on yoga training for various schools all over the world, including Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, Bali, and Australia. Sean has spent his whole life working at integrating Eastern and Western philosophies to find a balanced view of the world and its mysteries. He spent the majority of 5 years studying, practicing and then teaching yoga in Thailand in a Tantric yoga school.

Maria Frisch

Maria completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Power of Now Oasis, in Bali. Since then, she has completed training and workshops in Yin yoga, Restorative, FlyHigh yoga, and Acroyoga. Her journey didn’t stop there, as she took a100hr training in “Thai Yoga Massage” in Chiang Mai. One of her main goals is to share the benefits of yoga and bring more mindfulness and awareness into peoples lives, to live and enjoy the moment; and to connect with themselves. As a teacher, Maria always has a big smile on her face along with her soothing voice, to create a space where everyone feel welcome.

Bente Andersen

Bente first came in touch with yoga in late 1990. She completed her formal yoga teacher training at the Jungle Yoga Ashram, in Thailand in early 2010. Certified in Hatha Vinyasa yoga, in the Tantric yoga philosophy and tradition. Bente strives to inspire her students to always move with ease. She embraces a creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the diversity of Vinyasa yoga. She creates space and courage to grow and transform, to move past the comfort zone on and off the mat!

Jonathan Matahi Lefevre

Jonathan was born in Tahiti and grew up with hippie parents between Polynesia, Bali, and India. After a long formative period of travelling and studying with various healers and mystics, Jonathan eventually went into more academic training. He graduated from the Kimura Shiatsu Institute in Tokyo, Japan, the International School of Bodywork in San Diego, California, and the British School of Osteopathy, London, UK. His work combines various elements and techniques from all these different traditions, but he specializes in myofascial osteopathic work and emotional release.

Nicole Cain

Nicole is a student at heart and is always seeking out opportunities to expand her own knowledge and stay inspired. She has completed a 100 hour Yin training with Alicia Cheung and Oliver Reinsch, 300 hour training with Radiantly Alive yoga in Ubud, 50 hour fly high yoga course with Pedro Salazar, workshops with Jason Crandell and Noah Maze,and Simon Borg Olivier. She is the founder of SUP yoga Bali and is highly inspired by teachers Tim Senesi, Stephanie Snyder, Jason Crandell. Nicole also studied Holistic Nutrition & Ayurvedic Medicine.

Halth expert/ Nutritionist / Naturopath / Herbalist

During the Yoga Teacher Training we always have an experienced health expert joining our team. Our health expert will be sharing knowledge and experience on how a yogi can live a healthy lifestyle. Covering topics such as nutrition, natural medicine, optimal use of vitamins and minerals, hormonal health/balance, digestive health, detox. As our beautiful team of teachers also are travellers, the person who lead these lectures vary from training to training. But we only work with experienced health professionals.

Rachel Fearnley

Rachel Fearnley is a highly sought after teacher & coach. She has been teaching yoga around the globe for 7 years & sharing the message of Yin Yoga for over 5 years. Rachel is trained in both classical Indian Yoga and Chinese Taoist Yoga & specialises in Yin Yoga, Breath work & Ayurveda. Rachel believes that we all possess the ability to heal ourselves, by cultivating deep presence we open up our channels of awareness and can create radical shifts on our own lives. She is a deeply passionate and authentic teacher who practices what she teaches and supports her students to do the same.

Magdalena Janik

Magdalena is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500 hr) trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Kids, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. Her teaching style is Vinyasa-based with a focus on strength, flexibility and alignment. Magdalena believes that self-love is a core value, hence your practice with her, will be inspired by self-acceptance, awareness of your own body, love and good vibes. She is also passionate about incorporating mindfulness and meditation into her teachings, as she believes these practices are very important to support an overall sense of well being.

Ana Lucía Fariña

Ana Lucía Fariña from Costa Rica is a 500 Hours Registered Yoga Teacher. Analu is a native of Costa Rica. A musician and a yoga instructor, she graduated from the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica in 2009 where she received her 500-hour certification. She has also trained in Aerial yoga, Kids yoga, Thai Massage, Yoga Dance and has deepened her yoga studies across India and throughout the West with diverse teachers focusing mainly on Iyengar and Hatha styles. She currently teaches YTT 200 and 300 hours’ programs in Bali. Analu has an M.B.A. and Ma.

Jeanne Welsh

Jeanne Welsh is a leader in the field of kids yoga education. Jeanne champions the efficacy of innovative, evidence-based yoga programmes for schools and communities, to establish lifelong foundations for students’ fitness, wellness, and productivity. Over the past decade, Jeanne has worked closely with educators, health professionals, and parents to enrich school communities with yoga and mindfulness tools, which enabled them to teach to their students and children more authentically and effectively. As a pioneer of kids yoga education, Jeanne is also the founder of wellness for Kids.
