Isla Indah Retreat & Monkey Surfing offers you a surf and yoga retreat that welcomes everyone from all-levels of experience. Whatever your experience is in surfing and yoga, they know that you come to try your best and learn, so they will do their best to ensure you get the greatest time.
Immerse yourself in the surf culture with Monkey Surfing and meet people who travel the world to surf, share their experiences and smiles. Their instructors are surf life-saving and ISA certified and the classes follow the ISA standards. The groups are small - 3 students for 1 instructor max - to ensure you get the best learning conditions and for the safety of you and other people around. They offer a 3-day evolution program for beginners and intermediates.
Yoga Shack classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment, where laughter and smiles are welcome every single day and we share in each others journey. The teachers will modify each class to suit the audience, making the classes both beginner-friendly and challenging enough for the more experienced yogi. They provide all of the equipment - mats, blocks, bolsters, and straps, and water is available throughout class.
Explore the underwater wonders of the island. The boat captain will take you for a three and a half hour trip around Nusa Lembongan, Ceningan, and Penida. If the conditions allow it, you'll do a first stop to Manta Bay to encounter these majestic animals. Second spot will be Cristal Bay for its amazing clear water and beach, then Mangrove for the widest biodiversity of life - corals and fish of all kind and colors you can't even imagine.
Nusa Lembongan is very safe for solo travelers and our restaurant Pisang Pisang is a perfect location to meet other travelers or just relax and enjoy a book !

Nestled in the heart of Lembongan Island, Isla Indah Retreat is ideally located just within a short walking distance from the beach and many activity centers. The garden bungalows offer all the comfort of western standards room, king size bed, air-conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi. The healthy food at Pisang-pisang especially caters surfers, free-divers, and yogis.
Santika Guest House is a friendly guest house located on the main street of Jungut Batu and only 100 meters from the main retreat Isla Indah. They are provide clean room with double bed size, room with fan and cold water. It’s also have a short walking distance to the nearest beach.
Nusa Lembongan is a sleeping beauty, still uncrowded and peaceful. It is known for surfing, diving, and the love for underwater life. Many things are to discover off the beaten path like seaweed farming, Hindu ceremonies, and amazing landscapes.
Please keep in mind that Nusa Lembongan is a small island and you may experience power outage any time of the day (usually 2 or 3 hours maximum). The water pressure can be low and internet is a bit slow but that gives you a great excuse to turn your phone off and go outside have a look at the stars!
Please note that there is currently construction in the neighborhood (if noise happens it will be only during the day and usually while you will be busy doing activities) and that is out of our control.

Now they are glad to offer guests an extended menu including unique and diverse cuisine to ensure you will enjoy eating at the restaurant everyday of your stay.

Meet The Instructors
Christopher, Planet, Dewa, Samir
Christopher is a lifeguard and surf instructor for 10 years in France. He is specialized in swimming, surf-life saving and long-distance paddleboard competition, and longboard and single fin specialist. Monkey Surfing, the first surf school of Nusa Lembongan, was his project and passion.
Planet grew up on the paradise island of Lembongan. When he was a kid, he always jumped on his dad’s boat to go fishing or surfing. He is an accomplished surfer and famous for his laid-back barrels. Planet has been surfing for the last 20 years, with four years spent in ISC circuit. The most versatile surfer, he can barrel on any kind of board.
From Lembongan, Dewa loves to challenge himself in hollow waves for the adrenaline. He understood since a young age that surfing is one of the keys to staying fit and healthy. He has a traveler’s heart and is dreaming of reaching one day the shores of foreign lands to discover new waves. He has been surfing for the last 15 years and always prefers shortboards and radical maneuvers.
Welcome back Samir ! His passion for surfing and teaching brought him from Biarritz to Nusa Lembongan. Samir has been traveling around the world and will be glad to share his experience with you.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali. The transfer to Lembongan, pick-up from Bali and then a speedboat ride, is included in the price. However, far pick-up locations, such as Airport, Ubud, Canggu, or Amed might be subjected to extra charge.
Booking And Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
