Program

Triguna Yoga 10 day retreat offers a deeper understanding of how you can use yoga asanas for mental health. Through the practice of some asanas our energy level, mind patterns and habits can be changed. In the retreat, Triguna Yoga will show you the role of breathing in your life and how it creates opening and change in the self. A better quality of breath gives you a better quality of life.

Besides yoga asana and pranayama we will work with the 5 elements to heal and detoxify physically, mentally and emotionally. You will get understanding and experience of how we can cure our body and mind without the use of any herbs or medicine. Triguna Yoga will especially focus on emotional detoxification kriyas: how you can release the side effects of your negative emotions. The detoxification with 5 elements include mud and water treatments, breathing techniques as well as teachings how you can increase the fire element and ether element (fasting)

The purpose of this retreat is to help the body and mind heal so that you can gain more inner stability and strength to deal with situations in life.

During your free time, you can visit temples, shopping, experience river rafting at Ganga, or explore the natural treasures at the nearby area including caves, river beaches and waterfalls.

Food

During this course, you will be served three daily vegetarian yogic meals. A healthy and happy life depends on a healthy routine and a balanced diet. The food is carefully supervised and is prepared in a very natural and yogic manner while promoting the use of seasonal vegetables and fruits and avoiding all the artificially prepared edibles.

As there might be a slight difference in the local conditions from other places, students might find a couple of dishes on the menu unfamiliar, but no need to worry. The cooks will give their best efforts to prepare the food with utmost devotion and love which could cater to the needs of nourishment of all the layers of your personality.

Often the vegetarian food is vegan as well, and if not, there will always be vegan dishes available for the vegan students. Also, food allergies like dairy or gluten allergy Triguna Yoga can provide enough options to serve foods according to your needs.

Meet The Instructors

Multiple Instructor

Prakash

Prakash is born and brought up in a spiritual family in Uttar Pradesh, India. He has been introduced to a spiritual path and yoga at very young age. He started practicing Meditation, Asanas, Pranayama and Prayers from his childhood. On the path he learned Yoga from different institutes and traditions, like Astanga yoga from SVYASA Bangalore and extended courses from Satyananda’s (Bihar School Of Yoga) ,Munger. He has aquired academic qualifications earlier: master of yoga and master in English literatures. Prakash is now guiding Meditation, Yoga, Tantra, mindfullness and Kundalini.

 

Shakti

Shakti is a uniquely inspiring and experienced Pranayama, Meditation, Yog-Nidra Teacher and Therapist. She is a Dr. of Naturopathy from School of Naturopathy Gorakhpur, which includes whole naturopathy treatments with diet and therapeutic yoga. She has done extensive courses from Satyanand yoga (BSY Munger) and SVYASA Bangalore, where she got the perfect practical and theoretical knowledge of Asana, Pranayama, Mudra and Bandha. She also learned Yoga Nidra with its therapeutic qualities. Nowadays Shakti is giving sessions of Pranayama, Yog Nidra, Meditation, Diet and counselling.

 

Hari Krishan

Hari's approach is to combine yoga in its true essence with the traditional detoxification science of Naturopathy. A large part of Hari Ji’s childhood was spent in serving and taking care of hundreds of sages and sadhus. Being a national level player in his youth, yoga was an essential part of his routine. However, he realized that in present times, the bodies of most people are full of emotional and other kinds of garbage, which hinders one’s growth. This led him to develop “Emotional Blockage” treatments as well as using Naturopathy detoxification.

 

Girish Sompura

One would rarely come across someone as humble and pleasant as Girish Ji. Even though he completed graduation in computer science and worked at Infosys (Leading Indian IT company) for about 3 years, he left all of it in his search for truth. He did Sadhana (meditation) at many places like South India, Nepal, Manali etc. A 10 day Vipassana Meditation in Pune changed his life forever. He was always interested in subjects like Anatomy and physiology, which pushed him to go for further studies. He has a degree of N.D.(Doctor of Naturopathy) and Y.D.(Doctor of Yoga).

 

Manmohan Ji

Manmohan Rupal Ji is teaching Anatomy and Emotional Detoxification Kriyas. He is a double master degree holder in human psychology, a holistic healer and a life coach. Grown up under the parenthood of a naturopath father and Reiki master mother, Manmohan Ji was always inclined towards holistic healing from young age. Along with the fusion of psychological master degrees, Manmohan Ji has specialized himself in exclusive yogic psychotherapy which is proving to be a very effective tool in yoga practices to overcome psychosomatic disorders like depression and anxiety.

 

Vikas Pradhan

Vikas is an accomplished teacher of both Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga with over 8 years experience as a teacher. He is a life long learner of the yogic life style. During the classes you will learn proper adjustment and alignment of the postures and get friendly expert insights to Yoga Philosophy and Ashtanga Yoga. Vikas is hardworking, sincere, dedicated, confident and an enthusiastic person - his charisma and fun nature is infectious!

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED) or Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Once you reach the Dehradun Airport (DED), you can opt for regular taxi or bus service which is easily available from Dehradun to Rishikesh.

Arrival by bus

Being a popular tourist destination, Rishikesh has a good network of buses connecting it with important places such as Haridwar, Dehradun, and New Delhi. Buses depart in the morning and late evening from the Kashmere Gate ISBT, New Delhi for Rishikesh every day. You can choose from a regular, deluxe, or a luxurious coach.

Arrival by train

The nearest railhead to Rishikesh is in Haridwar which is approximately 25 kilometers away. Haridwar, in turn, is linked to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Varanasi. Some of the popular trains are Shatabadi Express, Jan Shatabdi, AC Special Express, and Mussoorie Express.

For those making the journey to Rishikesh, it is advisable to take the train till Haridwar and then either take a bus or hire a taxi to Rishikesh. While the bus would take about 45 minutes, the taxi will take you to Rishikesh in about a half an hour.

Arrival by taxi

Taking a taxi up to Rishikesh is worth considering, as it is connected to other cities via the National Highway 58, which is in a good condition for most of the year. The drive from Delhi to Rishikesh would take approximately six to seven hours. The approximate fare from New Delhi is 80 USD and from Dehradun is 20 USD.
