The course mainly includes daily yoga asana classes to increase your blood circulation and flexibility so to release tension and relax the guest physically. The guest will be guided through a very basic level of yoga pranayama practice to increase the oxygen level in body which will help them to relax mentally. The retreat also includes outing to nearby location so that the guest can fell free and enjoy the time completely.
Apart from the yoga asana, pranayama - the understanding and regulating of your breath, and meditation, you will also learn the basic concept of yoga and the lifestyle. It will teach you to integrate your body, mind, and souls for complete living.

The shatkarmas consist of six group of purification practices. The aim of Hatha yoga of the shatkarmas is to create harmony between the two major pranic flows, ida and pingala, thereby, attaining physical and mental purification and balance.
Yoga asanas practice
Yoga poses also purify and help to heal the body, as well as control, calm, and focus the mind. Yoga asanas will be practiced daily two times a day. Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga is practiced during the yoga classes.
Yoga philosophy is one of the six major orthodox schools of Hinduism. Ancient, medieval, and most modern literature often refers to the yoga school of Hinduism simply as yoga. Yoga retreat includes basic yoga philosophy sessions which provides knowledge about origin of yoga.
Pranayama and meditation
Pranayama and meditation session is very helpful for practitioners to get inner peace in life. Everyone is so busy and they feel there is no time to stop and meditate. But, meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused.

You will be accommodated at Yoganandham in Anand Dham Ashram. It is a yoga ashram with a perfect natural and spiritual setting which helps you a lot through all your spiritual journey. The vision of the ashram is to create a comfortable, nurturing sanctuary for spiritual seekers (sadhaks) from around the world, where they will have safe food, clean water, and guidance for their spiritual journey.
Yoganandham in India runs classes with holistic, integrating with all aspect of yoga: asana, pranayama, meditation, yogic philosophy, sadhana, and Vedic chanting. Yoga classes take place twice daily except on Sundays and are open to the public as well as ashram residents.
There are three yoga halls that allow sadhaks and guests to practice during scheduled special events. One is on the ground level, second is on the third floor, and third is on the roof. All the yoga halls are clean, authentic, and natural space for yoga practice. Each hall is supplied with pillows, bricks, bolsters, and yoga mats.
Things to Do
You can enjoy different activities in your free time such as mountain hiking, walking, or trekking etc. You may visit Ganga aarti, the waterfall, or practice yoga on Ganges beach. Yoganandham also offers Ayurveda massage and treatments to the participants at an additional cost. After joining this course, you will be eligible for a discounted treatment at some of the Ayurveda centers and Ayurvedic clinics.
The food provided is hygienic and well-prepared yogic food. The pure vegan meals are served according to the principles of Ayurveda and you are expected to be fully devoted and obey all the guidelines and disciplines of the yogic path during your training so that you may get the best benefits.
Yoganandham provide healthy and light breakfasts which is the best way to start your day. It includes a fresh juice or milkshake with bread and butter served with some different spreads or toppings. For lunch, they serve a complete full meal which would provide energy for the whole day. Typically this will include one healthy salad, fresh seasonal vegetables, lentils, rice, and chappati. For dinner, they provide light food which includes soup, different salads each day, healthy vegetables, lentils, and chapattis.

Yoga Acharya Manish was born in Rishikesh, and he studied at the oldest yoga schools and universities of India. He emphasizes on learning the basic concepts of yoga and to find the path or life style to reach the ultimate goal of yoga. His aim is to teach ancient and authentic teaching methods of yoga practice, the traditional yoga styles which bring the essence of mastery. Yogi Manish teaches with all his experiences and knowledge to all the yoga learners with humility and sincerity, but also with positive thoughts and meticulous. Arrival by airplane
Please book your international flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Then, book a domestic flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Dehradun Airport (DED). There are daily domestic flights into Dehradun from Delhi airport. AnandDham Ashram is 16 kilometers away from Dehradun airport, by road. You can take prepaid cab from outside the airport or contact Yoganandham for airport pickup facility at extra cost.
Arrival by bus
Rishikesh bus station is located five kilometers from the Yoganandham. The bus for Rishikesh leaves from Haridwar every hour. You can also take auto-rickshaw from the Rishikesh bus station to AnandDham Ashram.
Arrival by train
Please book your railway tickets to arrive at Haridwar Junction railway station. Haridwar is directly connected by rail to all main cities in India. When you reach Haridwar, buy a prepaid taxi from the stand at the entrance to the station. This will save you the trouble of negotiating a price with the driver.
The bus station is situated across the street, where there is regular service to Rishikesh bus stand which is five kilometers away from Yoganandham Ashram. You are advised to book rail tickets as soon as possible. Trains are usually fully booked near the time of travel.
Booking And Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
