This teacher training is a multi-style program for beginners with basic knowledge of yoga. After the completion of the course, the students will be given a certification of the completion of the 100-hour yoga training program from Yoga Vidya Mandiram School. This 50-hour yoga teacher training will be held by experienced reputed meditation guides and the team of accomplished yoga teachers. The teachers and guides include an Ayurvedic doctor, who feels privileged to share his/her knowledge and practice of ancient traditions with modern elements of medical sciences (yoga anatomy and physiology). This training program aims to provide a solid foundation in different aspects of yogic disciplines, that prepare you to apply for the 200-hour yoga teacher training program.
In addition, this 100-hour yoga training program includes mantra recitation (mantra - Japa), daily joints and glands practices (granthi - vimochana - kriya), yoga postures (yoga asanas), meditative steps of doing asanas, six cleansing exercises (shat karma), science of breath (pranayama), meditation (Dhyana), yogic sleep (yoga Nidra), history and philosophy of yoga (yoga Darshana), yogic anatomy and physiology of human body, and basic principles of Ayurveda.

Please note that on the first day, the course will start with an opening fire ceremony at 10.30 a.m. Yoga Vidya Mandiram advises that you arrive at least 1-2 hours early to settle into your room and take your time before the course starts. However, if your journey will be a long one, you may plan to arrive a day early to give yourself time to recover from your journey.

The accommodation is facilitated with Wi-Fi connection and with air-conditioning available (on request only). However, please note that Yoga Vidya Mandiram School provides accommodation for a student who joins yoga classes. Any friends or relatives will not be included in the accommodation.
There are two room options available for this course: single private room and double shared room. The rooms are equipped with double beds, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi connection. All rooms are shared with the same gender. Mother and daughter, wife and husband can share their rooms. The bathrooms are equipped with hot showers and towels.
This yoga teacher training will be held at Yoga Vidya Mandiram Yoga School, Rishikesh, India. Nearby there is Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport (DED) which is 15 kilometers from the center. The yoga school is located in the heart of the sacred township of Rishikesh on the bank of the holy river Ganges and at the foothills of the Himalayas, the abode of yogis.
The school is in a wonderful magical place only a short walk from the main town and the bank of the river, it is the perfect location for your activities.

During this yoga training, you will be served daily three delicious and healthy vegetarian meals; breakfast, lunch and dinners. Filtered water, herbal tea, and snacks are also available. Meet The Instructors
Sandeep, Archarya, Yogacharya, Sumit +4 others
Yogacharya Sandeep Pandey was born in a traditional Brahamna family and was sent to Gurukul at the age of 8. At the Gurukul, he studied the Yajurveda and mastered all the 16 Samskaras along with Yogasana, pranayama, and Shat Kriyas. He participated in many national-level yoga championships in India and won prizes. However, his quest for knowing the inner self through yoga lead him to Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama where under the direct guidance of H.H. Swami Veda Bharati, he studied and practiced the deeper and subtler aspect of Raja yoga.
Acharya Chandramani was born in a traditional spiritual family. When he was 8 years old, he became a serious practitioner of the yogic principles of Swetambara Jaina tradition. Later, he was initiated into the Vedic Sanskrit tradition by Swami Vivekananda at the age of 10 in Prabhat Ashram, UP, India. He was fully dedicated to the teachings and daily discipline of the traditional Sanskrit gurukulam from childhood to adulthood. He has been guiding worldwide yoga students into the Vedic Sanskrit literature and its philosophy and holding yoga retreats and teacher trainings for over 25 years.
Yogacharya Lalitji is a qualified experienced Hatha-Yoga and Pranayama instructor at Yoga Vidya Mandiram. He was born in the spiritual family in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. He began his yoga journey in the lap of the Himalayan yogi Swami Veda Bharatiji who initiated him into the path of Yoga and Meditation. In his academic education, he holds his E-RYT 200 and 500 RYT from Yoga Alliance, USA. He brings sincere love for students in his classes he holds. He sees yoga a way of inspiring lives and a meaning of discovering one’s self. He keeps looking for new opportunities to enhance his knowledge.
Dr. Sumit Sharma
Dr. Sumit is an expert in the field of physical therapy and posture imbalance and sedentary life disorders. He did his Masters of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal Disorders in Orthopedic Branch and a diploma in Sports Medicine from West Bengal. He is also a certified Pilate’s trainer from Indian Academy of Fitness Training Mangalore. His simple and contemporary style of delivering deep and practical knowledge of anatomy and physiology endear him to his students. He has taught a few hundred students from more than 35 countries and he mainly focuses on the therapeutic aspects of yoga.
Priya Poojaji is a qualified experienced yoga anatomy and physiology instructor at Yoga Vidya Mandiram. She was born in the spiritual family of Swami Rama of the Himalayas. She began her yoga journey in the lap of the Himalayan yogis since her early age. Her spiritual master, Swami Veda Bharatiji, initiated her into the path of yoga and meditation when she was 15 years old. Since then, she has been untiredly dedicated herself to the learning of yogic knowledge and it’s different sciences, yoga anatomy, and physiology. She holds her E-RYT 200 and 500-RYT from Yoga Alliance, USA.
Yogacharya Karamjit was born and brought up in a Hindu and Yogic family, whose roots are deeply emerged with Yogi’s lineage. He learned basics of yoga from a wandering monk, since childhood, he stayed and practiced yoga under the revered Monks and Yogis in monasteries. Yogacharya Karamjit did 300 hours Yoga Instructor course and Post Graduation Degree in Yoga from Swami Vivekananda Yoga University and earned his Master in Yoga Science (M.Sc) Degree. He did Yoga and Vedanta certificate course from Swami Shivanada Ashram (Divine life Society) at Rishikesh, India.
Subhash Petwal is an asana yoga instructor who is experienced teaching internationally and locally in the styles of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga. He has undergone his training in Mysore and Kaivalyadhama Lonavala and has been undergoing continuous practices for several extended years at Kishore Yoga Kendra Bangalore. Subhash is passionate about sharing his knowledge of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga and takes great care in layout a strong foundation for his students to further their practices.
Saurabh developed a keen interest in yoga since childhood. He was born and educated in Rishikesh, the world’s capital of yoga. He began his yoga journey in the holy city of Rishikesh. He is an experienced teacher of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga for the past 3 years and is in pursuit of his master’s degree in Yoga, as well as continuously undergoing self-practices and self-studies of yoga.

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Another option is to book your flight directly to arrive at Jolly Grant Airport (DED).
Arrival by taxi
Taxis are always available anywhere in India. The drive from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh will take around six hours depending on traffic conditions.
Arrival by bus
Buses to Rishikesh leave New Delhi from the Kashmiri Gate national bus stand approximately every hour. The bus ride takes about eight hours and costs around 450 INR for air conditioned buses and 250 INR for buses without air conditioning.
Arrival by train
The best option is to reach Haridwar train station, about 45 minutes away from Rishikesh by road on a driven taxi or the so called tuktuks. From Delhi, the train ride takes approximately eight hours, depending on the train. Haridwar is serviced by many trains from and to Delhi, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Amritsar, and many others.
