Certification, training, food, accommodation, and teaching materials are all included in the price. The 200-hour certificate will be awarded upon completion of all course requirements. This certificate is all you need to immediately apply for your Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Certification, a certification recognized worldwide. A detailed 150+ pages of Training Manual is also included. Path of Yoga will also provide you with the 'orientation pack' which will guide you through all you need to know regarding travel, visas, and any other important information.
The Yoga Alliance certified training provides a month of Hatha, Vinyasa, breathwork, meditation, philosophy, self-development, healing, and all the skills necessary to become a successful yoga teacher. A yoga teacher training course can be and often is the beginning of a new chapter in your lives. It is not the final objective or goal, but a beautiful step on the Path of Yoga.
Each morning, you will start the day with three hours of practice made up of asana, pranayama, and meditation, followed by a healthy breakfast. You will then move into presentations ranging from philosophy and functional anatomy to sequencing and structuring and much more! The afternoons are spent diving deeper into the methodology of chosen yoga asana and practices, learning how to better understand and teach them effectively.
This is a great opportunity to spend a month with three experienced teacher trainers, including both the founding teachers of Path of Yoga. At the end of the month, you will be a certified Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher, but more importantly, you will have the necessary confidence, knowledge, and teaching skills to blossom into a world-class yoga teacher.
History and branches of yoga
Get an exploration of the classical traditions and their core philosophies, including Hatha, Tantra, and Vinyasa yoga. Learn about where the roots of yoga first took hold and how it has branched into where it is now.
Anatomy and physiology
Learn the anatomy of movement and study of the key body systems. You will explore how the body works and apply this important knowledge in safe and effective practice and teaching.
Key poses of yoga
Get daily study and practice of postures and their alignment, adjustments, energetic and health benefits, modifications, and effective teaching cues.
Understanding the subtle body
Learn prana and the chakras. Ancient yogis described and revered the anatomy and potency of the energy body, what lay beyond the physical form. There are many layers to understanding and experiencing prana, this prime life force, and how it moves through the chakras or energetic centers. These teachings are at the very core of what makes yoga such a potent and timeless practice.
The science of breath
The breath is the connection to life and the foundation of all classical Hatha yoga practice. The breath has a profound influence on the nervous system and a deep effect on life quality, both on and off the yoga mat. Many practices will be offered from basic breath awareness to "advanced" pranayama.
Sequencing and structuring
You will learn how to use the toolkit offered in the yoga system to create meaningful sequences. A good class is not just anatomically sound but also meaningful on more subtle levels.
Meditation and the mind
Understanding your own mind and its makeup is an important part of being a guide in any practice. The power of meditation is significant. You will study and practice a variety of techniques that are aimed at the development of your own personal meditation practice and being able to hold space when teaching.
Introduction to Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a fascinating and practical science of life from ancient India that offers tools to better understand yourself and others therapeutically through the context of the doshas, gunas, and prana.
Effective teaching skills
The necessary skills to confidently lead a yoga class is obviously an important part of taking a teacher training course. There will be plenty of practice teaching; one on one, in small groups, and in front of the whole class coupled with the art and science of teaching and presenting.

Path of Yoga is very grateful that the home for the month is a wonderfully nurturing nature retreat right on the banks of the holy Ganges River, surrounded by mountains in total peace and quiet. This retreat is a space where people come to practice, rejuvenate, meditate, breathe, and dive deep into the heart and home of yoga.
The accommodation will be in either two or three-bed shared rooms. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and Wi-Fi access, and most have balconies. All have views and are spacious and comfortable with enough private living space in the resort and surrounding nature to gift you any privacy you need. It truly is a beautiful venue, guaranteed to please.
This training will take place in a beautiful peaceful villa on the banks of the Ganges. It is situated in an area known as Brahmpuri, just outside of Rishikesh, in a truly stunning location surrounded by nature.
The locations will always be in beautiful retreat centers in nature, carefully selected to provide a comfortable and safe space to facilitate what might be the most transformational month of your life so far. Things to Do
During your free time, there will be many opportunities to explore various ashrams and holy sites or even sample the electric atmosphere of Indian markets in the heart of Rishikesh. You can also choose to spend your free time relaxing and swimming on the pristine beaches of the Ganges River, only seconds from your room. It is truly a divine opportunity.

Meet The Instructors
James & Amritha
James was born in London and first discovered yoga in 2003, while at Drama School. However, he truly caught the bug a few years later while performing in a Shakespeare production which toured India. His routine of sunrise practices overlooking the rooftops of Udaipur with an old yogi called Prakash sealed the deal. Since completing his 500 hours with Tribe, James has done 200 hours with Max Strom and taken further training with David Swenson, Yogrishi Vishvketu, and Tiffany Cruickshank & continues his studies on advanced trainings with Jason Crandell.
Amritha is a travelling full-time yogini, having been a fervent student, practitioner and instructor since 2008. Initial introduction to Yoga came through the trainings of a 1-month Intensive Yoga in Thailand (2008) and 4 months ashram residential Yogic Studies at Bihar School of Yoga in India (in 2012). Further education and international accreditation of RYA200 were obtained in January 2017 at Matatitu Yoga Ashram in Varkala Kerala India. Amritha teaches Yoga Asana through Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, Pranayama, Meditation, YogaNidra, and the Science of Yoga in history, practice, and philosophy

Please book your flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED) or Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). From Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), you can take six hours taxi drive which will cost approximately 50 EUR. Trains and buses are also available.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
- The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 60 days before the arrival date.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 45 days before arrival.
