The Rishis (Vedic Sages) had keenly observed the sitting and standing postures of different animals, which in sprite of limited faculties, have wonderful physical capabilities that man is deprived of. They had studied the effects of different postures in the laboratory of their own body and developed specific asanas which had rejuvenating effects on the entire body-mind-soul system.
Yoga is a pleasant inward journey of purification that illuminates life beyond pain. Immerse yourself in this amazing journey of self-transformation and experience peace and lasting happiness. Yoga awakens the spiritual self, makes the practitioner experience inner divinity.

Turtle Beach in South Goa, India
Galgibaga Beach or as it is also called Galgibagh Beach is located in the south of Goa in the Canacona region (Canacona Taluk), 7 kilometers from the famous Palolem Beach resort. Many people consider the whole Arabian Sea coastline from Talpona River mouth up to the Galgibaga River mouth to be the entire coast. Probably due to this wrong way of thinking there are some discrepancies in how to call the Beach properly.
Galgibaga Beach is also known as the Turtle Beach and is one of three other Goa beaches (alongside with Agonda Beach and Morjim Beach) where the state program of olive turtles saving and protection works and implemented perfectly. The whole northern part of this beautiful beach is used for turtles nesting.
The beach strip is about 1.7 kilometers long and is covered with dense pine vegetation. The place is almost empty and has a kinda sharp entering into the Sea. The swimming here sometimes can be not very safe but brings vacationists great pleasure from having a rest and swimming in the waters of this paradise resort.
In the southern part of Galgibaga Beach, some shacks with a little bit of modest menu of different dishes and drinks can be found. The prices here are not so high too. Unfortunately, there are not so many places to stay here: comfortable Hatsus at the beach, few very suitable villas in the village and a small family hotel not so far away from mentioned above villas.
Galgibaga Beach resort is a really amazing place for solitude and quiet, leisurely hanging out and comfortable rest having: swimming, sunbathing, golden soft sand and warm tender Arabian Sea waters. What else do you need for unforgettable holiday spending?
The easiest way to reach Talpona Beach resort is to drive NH17 Highway, which starts in the south of the city of Chaudi and runs through the Galgibaga resort. There is, however, another, shorter way to get to Talpona Beach resort but it is more difficult: you will need to cross a small river bridge.
After you pass the City of Chaudi you will need to turn right; in few kilometers, the road is crossed by the railway – here you should turn left and drive a road which runs parallel Talpona River. In some time you will see the bridge which you will need to cross.
The quiet Galgibaga Beach in South Goa is perhaps one of few hidden treasures that Goa has left. The beach is known as one of the three places in Goa that form the nesting grounds of the Olive Ridley turtles, a protected species. The northern portion of this beach is protected as the turtles nesting grounds and gives the beach its nickname, Turtle Beach.
This beach is located in the deep south of Goa, on the banks of the Galgibaga River. It is about 56 kilometers away from Colva, which is a popular beach resort in South Goa and 54km away from Margao, the cultural capital of Goa.
As with most other beaches in Goa, the best time to visit is in the winter months from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and the seas are not so rough. In the summer, despite the heat, the beaches are still a great place to be. During the monsoon month, the beaches are less frequented because the seas are rough with dangerous undercurrents and inclement weather.
Since Galgibaga is one of the least frequented beaches in the South of Goa, there are no beach shacks like there are on most of the other Goan beaches. However, there is a resort where one can enjoy a pleasant and peaceful stay, away from the crowds and the bustle of the rest of the state.
The beach itself is a pristine stretch of golden brown sand, fringed with coconut palms and other trees. The seas in the area are known to be quite rough and not always safe to swim in, so caution is advised when venturing out for a dip.
The most famous aspect of Galgibaga is the nesting ground of the Olive Ridley turtles which is a protected area at the northern end of the beach. The government of Goa is doing a sterling job of protecting the turtle’s habitat and nesting area at this beach and at Agonda and Morjim, the two other beaches which are frequented by the Olive Ridley turtles.
