At Mahi Yoga, they provide 300-hour yoga teacher training at two locations in India: Dharamshala and Goa. A prerequisite to join the 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training is that the applicant must have successfully completed a recognized 200-hour yoga training, this may be with Mahi Yoga or another recognized school. After completion of the 300-hour training, the student will be qualified as a 500-hour registered yoga teacher.

The carefully designed multi-style yoga course provides training in three main styles of yoga: Hatha (including traditional and therapeutic), Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Vinyasa yoga. All courses are certified by Yoga Alliance, USA. In the 200-hour yoga course, you lay the foundations of yoga knowledge and teaching techniques, while the 300-hour advanced course aims to build and perfect that knowledge even further.
The course will hone your skills as a practitioner and a teacher. Mahi Yoga aims for students to leave being able to instruct all levels of practitioner effectively whilst giving deeper instruction on both the subtle and physical aspects of yoga. The advanced course focuses on advanced teaching techniques, intelligent sequencing, and the therapeutics or benefits of yoga asana.
Emphasis on hands-on adjustment, use of props, and subtle yoga anatomy are key to the course’s success in building confident teachers. Mahi Yoga delivers this knowledge by weaving together theory, physical practice, and the subtler introspective aspects such as meditation in order to provide students with a holistic yoga experience. They aim for students to learn through experience and therefore courses are highly practical and experiential.

Whispering Lakes is a closed campus resort. Students will be accommodated in lakeside lodges and meals will be served on site. At Mahi Yoga teacher training Goa, they have a large airy lake view yoga shala (studio). The studio is also on site at the beautiful Whispering Lakes and is fitted out with all manner of yoga props.
The main studio can hold 25 - 30 people with plenty of room. Both studios are quiet and peaceful and look out onto the lakes where you are able to see the migrating birds flying and fishing. The dining hall and relaxing area are also located onsite at the lakes resort for students to relax, chat or study. Wi-Fi is available in the relaxing area.
At yoga teacher training Goa, rooms are spacious and comfortable and located at the resort. They offer superior lakeside lodges which are well equipped and very clean. The rooms are available on a shared basis of two students or even a couple. The lodges have a massive private entrance to sit and just relax overlooking the lake. The shelters have an attached and private bathroom with hot water and western toilet.

Mahi Yoga teacher training in Goa is located on the edge of Arambol. The center is tucked away in the countryside at the Whispering Lakes Resort. The resort is arranged around a lake and is the perfect place to watch the nature and the multitude of Goa and migrating birds which visit to catch fish or stop off for the winter.
All the lodges and the yoga shala have a lakeside view. The beach is just five minutes walk through nature and the town is just 20 minutes by the beach. So the resort itself offers the perfect balance between peace, nature, and vibrant culture.
Things to Do
Goa is located in southwest India, on the Arabian Sea, in the small and famous beach town of Arambol. Arambol town is an eclectic mix and lively vibe. There are many famous studios and music venues hosting famous yogis, healers, musicians, and performers from all over the world. There are many courses and gatherings on offer.
There really is something for everyone here. The beachfront runs for miles and there is a chance to find a quiet spot or place yourself directly in the excitement of watersports, circus skills or beachside yoga. Every evening at its center, Arambol beach hosts a hippy market full of crafts, arts, and performers.
People come for miles to enjoy an evening walk on the beach, celebrity spot, and watch the heart-melting sunsets. Then, as the sun disappears beyond the horizon, the nightly drum circle begins (a free event where everyone is welcome to join in and drum or dance) and people immerse themselves in the beat with their bare feet in the sand.
The resort at yoga teacher training Goa has its own cafeteria only for the use of students and teachers. Food is exceptionally hygienic. Chefs prepare Southern Indian, vegetarian yogic meals. All meals are nutritionally designed to provide students with all their body needs as well as instill healthy eating habits. Wherever possible, they provide locally sourced and organic food. Yoga Guru Mahi
When Mahi was eleven, his family members, being all yogis, taught him yoga. The whole family belonged to the yoga meditation and pranayama, therefore focusing on the spiritual development of a human. For example, Mahis father was a disciple of Sri Ramana Maharishis student. However, not only family members influenced Mahi on his way! He spent a lot of time learning Hatha yoga, Bhakti yoga, meditation, and Karma yoga with monks and swamis.

Rakesh comes from a traditional Indian family and began his yoga journey in his early childhood. He received education and guidance in both modern science and yogic philosophy. Rakesh combines a deep knowledge of yogic science and practical yogic philosophy with a real world approach, gained from his experience in the corporate world. He specializes in delivering this knowledge through the Ashtanga Vinyasa method as taught by Pattabhi Jois and regularly practices at KPJAY in Mysore.

Arrival by airplane
The best way is to fly to Goa from Mumbai or from Delhi. In winter time there are so many charter flights coming directly to Goa but that you have to see for your convenience.
From Goa International Airport (GOI) there are air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned cars available on prepaid basis. You can rely on them by paying them in advance outside of the airport. It may cost approximately 1500 to 1600 INR to The Whispering Lakes, Dando Arambol beach, Goa.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
- The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 15 days before the arrival date.
