Retreat location

Mandrem is located between Arambol and Ashvem in the north of Goa, it is both on the beach and in the village. In beach walking distance to the beautiful beaches of Morjim, Ashvem, and Arambol. Only 21 kilometers (13 miles) away from the capital Panaji in North Goa. The atmosphere is laid back and quiet.

Only a 15 minutes beach walk away from the famous sunset drum circle at Arambol beach. The sparkling water and the isolated beach offer ample opportunities to enjoy this calm and soothing locality in peace.

As a former Portuguese colony, Goa has a rich and interesting history. Still today you can spot a lot of beautiful Portuguese houses and the city of Panjim is called the small sister of Lisbon. One of the remaining elements of the Portuguese in Goa are the Christian churches, which have beautiful and unique architectures and atmospheres.

Furthermore, there are beautiful temples around which are open for everybody. And not to forget the stunning coastline and beaches! But what makes Goa so special is that many people who love yoga in India stay for the whole season, finding it hard to leave and even calling Goa ‘home.’
